Spirit House Yoga has structured a comprehensive 53 hour training in Traditional Northern Thai Yoga Bodywork that includes the fundamental aspects of becoming a Thai Yoga Practitioner. Our intention is to make our certification process available to qualified applicants over the course of four consecutive months, one weekend per month. Our four sessions are ordered consecutively and must be completed in order. Each session is designed to be completed in one weekend.

Spirit House Yoga has structured comprehensive 26.5 hour training in Traditional Northern Thai Yoga Bodywork that includes broadening of skills learned in the foundational training. Our intention is to make our certification process available to qualified applicants over the course of two consecutive months, one weekend per month. Our two sessions are ordered consecutively and must be completed in order. Each session is designed to be completed in one weekend.
Martha McQuaid- E-RYT 500, CMT has been teaching yoga and practicing Thai Bodywork for fifteen years. Martha has trained extensively in the US and Thailand, and is a Certified Advanced Practitioner of the Thai Yoga Method. Martha’s practice of Thai Massage blends beautifully with yoga; each modality informs and deepens the other. Her teachers include Jonas Westring, Pichest Boonthame and Therdchai (Mac) Chumpuphong.
Pre-requisites for Thai Yoga Bodywork Training
Enrollment for this training is open to applicants who have completed a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Approved Teacher Training program or Massage Therapy program and who have been practicing in these fields for at least one year. Having a basic, working knowledge of anatomy is an important part of this work. As this work requires physical stamina and dexterity, a strong physical mind-body practice is recommended (Yoga, Martial Arts, etc.)
Pre-requisites for Thai Yoga Level 2 Bodywork Training
Enrollment for this training is open to applicants who have completed all 53 hours of Spirit House Yoga Thai Yoga Bodywork Foundational Training and have been certified by the Director.
How to Apply to our Program
You may receive an application form by emailing Martha McQuaid at firstname.lastname@example.org. The application includes a few questions regarding your experience in yoga or bodywork, and why you wish to learn Thai Yoga Bodywork. Applicants will be asked to meet with the Director for an interview and to discuss their application to the programs.
Classes meet for 10 hours per weekend, 4 weekends per year, once a month, beginning in March and ending in July. The dates for the 4 weekends are decided every December for the following year. All dates are posted on the Spirit House Yoga website. Students are given two years to finish our program by attending all 4 weekends. Any student who misses more than one module will need to attend the missed modules the following year.

Classes will not be scheduled on national holidays, including New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Total Cost – $700
Total Hours – 41.5 Contact Hours – which includes the 10 training modules and final exam
11.5 Non-Contact Hours, which includes 10 documented practice sessions and a 90 minute session with a graduate of our program, cost of which is not included in this training.
Class size is limited to 12 participants.
The payment for the Thai Yoga Bodywork Program can be paid in full, $700, at the start of the first weekend session, or in 2 payments of $350, payable at the start of the first and third weekend.

Total Cost – $350
Total Hours – 20 Contact Hours – 2 Modules plus a final exam consisting of a 90 minute bodywork session to be given at the completion of the Second module.
5 Non-Contact Hours, which includes 5 documented practice sessions.
Class size is limited to 12 participants.
Payment for the Thai Yoga Bodywork Program shall be paid in full, $350, at the start of the first weekend session.
